Last week I was at a prayer meeting and the Spirit of the Lord released the following words of Jesus..."You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you." The words pierced the atmosphere and my spirit. During this time of prayer, many words came forth from the heart of God. Encouragement. Love. Correction. Fire. It was an amazing time of gathering together. We were there to worship and to be in His Presence. Sometimes more can happen when we are willing to put our intention on Him. There was no real agenda. There we were gathered together and His Spirit touched our spirits.
Later on as we closed in prayer, the Spirit of the Lord, declared..."many are called but few are chosen". After all that the Lord had stirred in our hearts this made me bow over. Just the thought. Overwhelming.
So after such a impactful time with the Lord, I just began to ponder His words to us that day. I kept meditating on it and putting the words before the Lord, asking Him..."Lord,what are you saying?" The Lord has taught me not to presume that I understand what He is saying especially when it comes to His Word, the logos or the rhema. We can get so familiar with passages that we become desensitized. Never a good thing. Then when we don't hear some "new" revelation from a minister or pastor, we can get discouraged or even offended. But what about seeking the revelation for yourself? What about asking the Lord to make it personal? I felt the need to ask the Lord why He declared that to us that day. His Presence was tangible. There was no mistake... He was speaking.
Several days later I am just unpacking it.
John 15:16
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Chosen: eklegomai (verb) Greek
* pick out, choose, to pick or choose out for one's self
1. choosing one out of many, i.e. Jesus choosing his disciples.
2. choosing one for an office
3. of God choosing whom he judged fit to receive his favors and separated from the rest of mankind to be peculiarly his own and to be attended continually by his gracious oversight
4. of God the Father choosing Christians, as those whom he set apart from the irreligious multitude as dear unto himself, and whom he has rendered, through faith in Christ, citizens in the Messianic Kingdom (James 2:5) so that the ground of the choice lies in Christ and his merits only. Hmmm, Lord...You mean you "picked" us. You "picked" me. That sounds so good right, but it still wasn't what My Father was getting at. When Jesus spoke these words He knew exactly what He was saying. He knew what His disciples were about to endure. He knew what He was about to endure. So He was letting them know ahead of time. I chose you. No matter what happens, know that you are already chosen.
The Father wants his children "to be" whole. His desires for us are really beyond human comprehension, they have to be received by revelation, because His love and goodness know no bounds. Wholeness is His Shalom; nothing missing and nothing broken. The Father declared that to us that day so that He could bring healing to us. Restoration to our souls. The Father declared this to me so that I could receive healing from rejection. Rejection that goes back in my generational lines. Selah.
Reject: to refuse to have, take or recognize; to refuse to accept; to cast off or out.

Do you see it? We all have suffered from rejection of some sort, unfortunate but true. Most of us have no idea how seeds of rejection affect our behavior and how we respond to others. Whether we understand the psychology behind it or not, is not relevant. The enemy uses the unhealed wounds in our hearts to torment our souls and keep us from experiencing what Christ died for. So for me, during that day of prayer, those prophetic words were a clarion call for me to receive another level of healing. Healing and deliverance from the spirit of rejection.
Transformation is a process. He is the potter. We are the clay.

If you need healing from rejection, I want to encourage you to go through the Word of God and look at the scriptures where the Father talks about those He has chosen. I DID. ( Here are some to get you started: Deut. 7:6, 14:2 Josh. 24:22 2 Chronicles. 6:6 Matt 12: 18, Matt. 22:14, 1 Pet.2:9)
The Word of God transforms us and changes us. Renews our mind to see ourselves the way our Father see us. He is El Roi..the God who sees me (you) and loves us. He loves us so much that when He sees our brokenness and our surrender He declares from heavens highest heaven...You have not chosen me, I have chosen you!
That simply means if He has chosen you and I...rejection no longer has a place in us.
